ResiliAnce Partnership

Partnership of Commonland, Ashoka, The Weaving Lab and Wire Group, formed in March 2025 within the Bioregional Weaving Labs Collective, that is prototyping Bioregional Financing Facilities in three European bioregions and publishing discovery-arc papers on how such facilities should work.

People & society

The ResiliAnce Partnership was set up on 10 March 2025 by Commonland, Ashoka, The Weaving Lab and Wire Group to prototype Bioregional Financing Facilities (BFFs): locally governed structures that pool philanthropic, public, private and institutional capital to fund a portfolio of projects and enterprises across a whole landscape, rather than one project at a time. It works inside the Bioregional Weaving Labs Collective, which contributes the local weaving, portfolio development, governance work and shared learning.

The first prototypes are in The Delta in the Netherlands, the Altiplano Estepario in Spain and Le Bocage ornais in France. Each aims to raise at least EUR 5 million in seed funding, with the ambition of growing to EUR 50 million or more per bioregional portfolio. The partners publish their reasoning as a learning series and as numbered "discovery arc" provocation papers; the third, last revised on 8 October 2026, asks how risk and value should be shared among the projects in a bioregional portfolio, and among the portfolio, its investors and the wider bioregion, and argues that interdependence between projects in one place should be treated as a strength to pool around rather than a correlation to diversify away.

This is a finance and governance design effort; there is no software, model or data product.

Prototyping is ongoing as of late 2026; no facility is reported as funded.
